How to cleanse your skin

Choose a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type, avoiding harsh chemicals and fragrances. There's a wide range available online, including creams, oils, foams, gels, clays, soap bars, and balms. Once you've found one that suits you, apply it evenly to your face, gently massaging it in (some may require wetting your face first). You can remove residue product using various cleansing tools; we recommend using an organic cotton face cloth like CloudCloth for its benefits. Stick to lukewarm water, as it's optimal for skin health.

After removing all product and your skin feels clean, gently pat dry with a fresh towel dedicated solely for your face. Alternatively, use another clean face cloth for drying to ensure it's only used on your skin. Avoid using any towel in the bathroom, as bacteria can be present from hand drying, especially important if you have acne. Keep a designated cleansing station in the bathroom, such as a basket or tub, to help organise your cloths and cleansing products. Keeping things handy near the sink will motivate you to cleanse in the evening.

TOP TIP:

Avoid over-cleansing, as it can strip your skin and leave it feeling dry. Massage your cleansing product into the skin for a full minute, then wipe away with your face cloth. Note that most of your cleansing should be with the the finger tips and product and not the face cloth, use the face cloth to gently exfoliate every few days while wiping away your cleanser and then proceed directly to pat dry and finally apply your usual skincare moisturiser.  Remember that cleansing in the evening before bed is crucial because it allows your skin to absorb products without the interference from daily activities, makeup, and pollutants, promoting better overnight rejuvenation.
